William D.
Reppert
Oct 11, 1956 — Nov 4, 2026
Baileyville
William "Bill" Downing Reppert Jr. of Baileyville, ME, passed away peacefully on November 4, 2026, at the age of 70 surrounded by his beloved family. He was born on October 11, 1956, in Bethlehem, PA, to William and Angela (Schmid) Reppert.
Bill was a graduate of Bethlehem Catholic High School (Becahi), Class of 1975, before attending Northampton County Community College. He met the love of his life, Luann and they moved around the country enjoying what it offered along the way. They moved back to Pennsylvania where his career began as a groundskeeper at St. Luke's Hospital and his dedication and love for nature flourished, ultimately leading him to establish his own landscaping business in Florida after moving there in 1993.
Childhood vacations to Princeton, ME, created a deep connection to the area, and this fondness ultimately drew Bill and Luann to move to Washington County. Bill cherished the beauty of the outdoors; he found joy in rehabbing animals, fishing from the beaches of Florida to the brooks of Maine and tending to his garden-pastimes that brought him immense peace and fulfillment.
Bill leaves behind his loving wife, Luann Reppert; his two sons, Levi Reppert and his wife Jamie of Princeton, and Bill Reppert and his companion Jessica Cilley of Princeton; four cherished grandchildren, Elaine, Ada, Faith, and Camryn; as well as his brother Richard Reppert and wife Jan, sister Susan Reppert, and his beloved pets: canine companions Nadja and Snoop, cat Edna, and tortoise Ricky.
In honor of Bill's wishes, there will be no formal services. However, the family encourages those who wish to celebrate his life and share their condolences, cherished memories, and photographs to do so on Bill's memorial page at www.MaysFuneralHome.com. Arrangements by Mays Funeral Home & Cremation Services.
Bill will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. His spirit lives on in the hearts of his family and friends, and in the beauty of the natural world he so adored.
