Lubec, ME - Toby Lee Wilcox, 67 passed away on Friday, July23, 2021. Born June 26, 1954, in Lubec, Toby was the third of seven children of Janice M. Wilcox and the late Gerald L. Wilcox of Lubec.
Toby graduated Lubec High School, class of 1972. After graduation he served in the U.S. Coast Guard as a boatswain mate aboard the 210-foot cutter Diligence performing drug interdiction missions in the Caribbean. After serving his country, Toby moved to Pinellas Park, Florida in 1981 to attend Pinellas Technical College in St. Petersburg. He graduated in 1983 as a certified electrician. On September 1, 1984. Toby married Jennifer (Jenison) and they moved to Hope, Rhode Island. He worked as a Quality Control Technician at Victor Electric Wire and Cable Corporation in Warwick RI until the plant closed in 1990 then worked in commercial construction. He moved back to Lubec in 1994.
Toby was preceded in death by his father. He is survived by his mother; brothers, Gerald, Jeffery, Ricky and Kevin; sisters, Belinda and Barbara; daughter, Katelyn M. Wilcox; son, Eric A. Wilcox; and grandchildren, Alexia R. Wilcox and Anthony J. Wilcox.
There will be a private graveside service at Acadia National Cemetery in Jonesboro, ME with military honors. Arrangements by Mays Funeral Home, Calais & Eastport.
