Tekawitha M. Robinson

Tekawitha Marie Robinson, 51, passed away Sunday, July 2, 2023.  Tekawitha was born in Machias on December 11, 1971, daughter of Warren and Joyce (Murphy) Doten.

Tekawitha attended Fryeburg Academy until her senior year, then graduated from Lee Academy.  She went on to graduate from the Eastport Boat School with High Honors.  Tekawitha worked as a varnisher for Wayfair Marine in Camden, and Hinkley Yachts in Trenton until returning home to Pleasant Point.  She loved dolphins and enjoyed making jewelry.  Tekawitha will be remembered for her great sense of humor, contagious laugh, and having a strong presence and big personality.  No matter what life threw her way, she was always strong-willed, resilient, spiritual, and never lost her faith. 

Surviving are her parents, Warren and Joyce Doten of Pleasant Point; her two children, Camisha Norris and husband Josh of Princeton, and Michael Robinson and wife Katie of Burnham; six grandchildren, Larrea Norris, Mya Norris, Mya Robinson, Macy Robinson, Denali Norris, and Molly Robinson; siblings Ralph Doten and wife Wanda of Indian Township, Betty Bailey and husband John of Princeton, Venus “Gidget” Newell of Perry, Cheyenne Doten of Bidderford, Judd Doten of Perry, and Tallulah Patrick and husband James of TN; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins; and her companion Justin Jones, his son Cameron, and grandson Chase. 

Visitation will be held 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. Sunday, July 9, 2023, at the Elder Meal Site, 15 Elder’s Way, Pleasant Point.  Arrangements by Mays Funeral Home, Calais & Eastport.
