In Loving Memory of Tara Helen Ross January 12, 1979 – March 20, 2026 Tara Helen Ross, a beloved daughter, mother, sister, grandmother, and fiancée, passed away unexpectedly at the age of 47 on March 20, 2026, at her home in Baileyville. Tara attended Eastport Elementary School and graduated from Shead High School in 1997. After welcoming her beautiful daughter, Sierra Morrison (Johnson), she continued her education at WCTC. Following graduation, Tara worked at Georgia Pacific, Eastport Healthcare, and Rite Aid Pharmacy, where she built lasting connections with those around her. Tara found joy in life's simple pleasures. From May through September, she could often be found at Rosie's Hot Dog Stand, enjoying her favorite meal while taking in the beauty of the breakwater. She cherished time spent with her family—especially watching her grandchildren play soccer, basketball, and baseball. A devoted New York Yankees fan, Tara proudly wore her Yankees gear to gatherings, often to the playful dismay of her loved ones. She loved summer evenings spent around a warm fire with an ice-cold Dr. Pepper, laughter-filled nights at the bowling alley, picking crabs, and time shared with her fiancé, Jason, and their many beloved cats. Tara's warmth, humor, and deep love for family and friends will be profoundly missed. Tara is survived by her parents, Alberta Matthews and Jaime Tinker; her sister, Sonya (Corey); her daughter, Sierra (Tyler); her son, Gavin (Emma); her loving fiancé, Jason Dubay; his daughters, Gabby and Jocelyn; his parents, Dave and Linda; and his sisters, Ann and Brandy. She also leaves behind her grandmother, Dorothy Tinker; her cherished grandchildren, Charlotte, Lincoln, and Cameron; her niece and nephew, Halle and Isaac; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends. She was predeceased by her great-grandparents, Albert and Theresa Ross; her grandparents, Albert and Helen Ross and Bruddy (Allen) Tinker; and her uncles, Rodney Patton and Michael Tinker. A celebration of Tara's life will be held on March 26 at 2:00 PM at the Port Authority/Welcome center in Eastport, Maine.
