Ruth A. Foss

Princeton & Baileyville – Ruth Anna Foss, 96, passed away at Calais Regional Hospital on January 30, 2020. Ruth was born on October 9, 1923 in Blaine, daughter of Arthur and Bessie (McKinnon) Burlock. She attended school in Bridgewater and later married Lindsay Foss on October 6, 1945 in Millinocket.
Together Ruth and Lindsay made Princeton their home, working and raising a family for decades before eventually moving to Baileyville in 1988. Over the years Ruth worked at the local mill, delivered milk to her neighbors in the Princeton area for Shoppes Dairy out of Machias and stayed involved with her community right up until the end. She was a member of WT Wren Post #23 American Legion Ladies Auxiliary. She loved playing bingo and caring for her grandchildren. She was a big animal lover and enjoyed watching the Red Sox and Patriots play. Ruth was a dedicated fan at Tourney Time, she could be found glued to her tv whenever Central Aroostook Panthers or Woodland Dragons were playing.
In addition to her parents, Ruth was predeceased by her husband, Lindsay; her daughter, Linda Bohanon; and siblings Musa Stiles and Alan Burlock.
Survivors include her sister, Pauline Burlock of Princeton; son-in-law, Monte Bohanon of Baileyville; grandchildren, Kelley Bohanon of Westbrook and Brent Bohanon and his wife Alison; great grandchildren, Catherine Lin and Asher Crosby, all of Baileyville; special friends Virginia Donovan and Kathy Arsenault and many friends from bingo at the Spednic Club, The American Legion and Odd Fellows Hall.
