Ruby Andrews, 86, passed away on Thursday, August 28, 2025, with family by her side. Ruby was born in St. Stephen, NB, on December 29, 1938, daughter of Albert and Laura (Fraser) Gaddas. After graduating from high school in her hometown, Ruby pursued higher education and earned a degree in business. She then lent her talents to Ganong's for a number of years before marrying the love of her life, Richard "Dickie" Andrews. The marriage shifted her focus towards raising their three sons, a responsibility that she embraced with open arms and a happy heart. Ruby reveled in the simple joys of life - shopping, RVing, going for walks, and spending tranquil afternoons in the park. Her life was a beautiful tapestry of moments well-lived, and her radiant spirit touched all who had the privilege to know her. Ruby was predeceased by her parents, Laura and Albert Gaddas; her beloved husband of 35 years, Richard; her son Brian; and siblings, Vi Carter, Bernice Dougherty, and Frank Gaddas. Left to honor her memory are her sons, Carl Andrews and his wife Karen of Lebanon, and Michael Andrews of Calais; a grandson, Justin Andrews of Bangor; and several nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held to honor Ruby's life on Saturday, August 30, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. in Calais Cemetery. Arrangements are by Mays Funeral Home & Cremation Services.
