Talmadge – Robert “Bob” George Mackenzie, 69, of Talmadge passed away on March 19, 2022 at his home. Bob was born in 1952 at the Calais Regional Hospital, son of George E. and Marie E. (Storey) Mackenzie.

Bob was a member of Bethel Chapel in Talmadge where he served as a Trustee and also the caretaker. He was a jack of all trades and a master of none, which was always better than a master of one. He loved spending time with his family. Bob adored his little grandson Branson, and his smile could light up a room every time he entered the room.

Bob was predeceased by his parents George and Marie; his brother Jerry Mackenzie; and two sisters, Georgia Carter and Betty Mackenzie. Surviving are his loving wife and best friend of 45 years, Julie Tapley Mackenzie; three sons, Shawn Mackenzie of Florida, Michael Mackenzie and wife Chandra of Jonesboro, and Robbie Mackenzie of Portland; two daughters, Amy and Forest Fairbrother of Washington State, and Lorie Mackenzie of Lewiston; many grandchildren; a special cousin who was like a brother to him, Jeffrey Storey of Surry; many nieces and nephews; and his feline companion Paws.

A Celebration of Bob’s Life will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, April 16, 2022 at Bethel Chapel in Talmadge. Arrangements by Mays Funeral Home, Calais & Eastport.
