Rena Edna Stackhouse

Calais – Rena E. Stackhouse, 83, passed away in Orono on January 14, 2021. Rena was born in Eastport on February 17, 1937 to Portia E. Porter. She grew up in Pembroke with foster parents, Tommy and Nina Wentworth.
Rena attended Pembroke High School and graduated with the Class of 1956. She worked for many years at Holmes Sardine Factory, until her retirement in 1981. On July 31, 1978, she married Robert M. Stackhouse and together they shared many years residing in Pembroke. Rena was a hard worker and kind soul, she loved animals and found peace while slowly swaying on her outside swing in the summertime.
In addition to her parents, Rena was predeceased by her husband Robert and siblings, Mary Quinn Roe and her husband Harlan, Roy, Ramona, Champene, Ivan Patrick, Pearl McGarvey, Raymond and Doris.
She is survived by a sister-in-law, Pauline Quinn and brother-in-law, Fred Hartman as well as nieces and nephews, Michael Roe and his wife Katy of KY, John Roe and his wife Kim, Jo Ann Patrick and her husband Ron, Curtis Roe and his wife Laura and Jeff Roe and his wife Tammy, all of OH.
In keeping with Rena’s wishes, there will be no service, she will be buried beside her husband at Clarkside Cemetery in Pembroke. Arrangements by Mays Funeral Home, Calais & Eastport.
