Obituary

Randy E Cox passed unexpectedly on May 31, 2023 at Down East Community Hospital. Randy was born on January 9th 1968 to Louis and Sylvia (Sadler) Cox.

Randy graduated from Shead High School in 1986. Randy had many jobs over the years. He worked for Thomas Dicenzo, drove truck for Don Newman, and most recently worked for the Department of Transportation in Baileyville and Pembroke.

Randy’s passion was his horses. He volunteered for the NBHA, Downeast Border Riders Saddle Club, the Pembroke Trotting Association, and the Dennysville River Fire Department. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, horse shows, and spending time with his family and friends.

Randy was predeceased by his father Louis Cox. He is survived by his children Ellie Cox and companion Mark Clossey, Bennett Cox and wife Katie Cox, Damon Moholland, and Bonnie Jean Moholland, and their mother, his best friend Tina Moholland. His mother Sylvia Cox, brothers Wayne Cox and wife Susan, Ricky Cox and his wife Sherri, David Cox, and his wife Helen, and sister Sandra Dull and her fiancé Randy Ducat, and one grandson Carson Cox, as well as many nieces and nephews, and cousins including a special cousin that was like a brother to Randy, John Cox of Edmunds.

Services for both Randy and his father Louis will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, June 25, 2023, at the Edmunds Consolidated School.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his honor to the Dennysville River Fire Department.  Arrangements by Mays Funeral Home, Calais & Eastport.
