Ralph A. Francis, a master carpenter, master gambler, and master of wit, has laid his tools down for the final time, on Thursday, September 4, 2025. Born on December 23, 1937, in Pleasant Point, Maine, Ralph lived a full life, marked by laughter, love, and a healthy dose of mischief. He was a man who knew how to lighten any room with his humor and could outsmart any opponent at the card table. He enjoyed the thrill of the game, whether it was Bingo, a friendly wager, or dealing cards at Foxwoods Casino.
Ralph's love for life was not confined to the indoors. As a true son of Maine, he reveled in the outdoors, where he found peace and serenity under the vast skies, and the calm waters beckoned him for fishing. Ralph's skills were not limited to the carpenter's workshop or the gambling table; he was also known for his knack for reeling in the biggest catches. His love for the outdoors was only matched by the love for his family and friends, whom he treasured and joked around with, making their lives rich with laughter and happiness.
Ralph is survived by his children, Corinna L. Francis of Pleasant Point, Stacy A. Francis and Darrel Ford, Ralph A. Francis II and Lisa of Pleasant Point, and Erik D. Francis and Jennifer, and "Boo Boo" Lewey as well as his siblings, Saraphine Connelly "Sally", Stella K Bassett "Jackie", Veronica M. Francis, Elaine Perry, and Floyd Francis. His legacy continues to grow through his many grandchildren, Ralph Francis III, Tina Francis, C.J Zaruba, Elizabeth zaruba, Tricia Zaruba, Samantha Janulowitz, Ricky Janulowitz, Justin Janulowitz, Erik Soaring Eagle Francis, Tyler Gliding Hawk Francis, "Matasun" Gabriel and great-grandchildren Landon Zaruba, Taylor Zaruba, Christopher Zaruba, Harmony Zaruba, Ricky Janulowitz, Erik Francis Jr., Atlas Francis, Tyler Francis, Emelie Francis, and many neices and nephews, who will carry forward his love for life, laughter, and the outdoors.
