Phyllis (Brown) Sprague age 92 passed away peacefully the morning of July 31, 2023, at EMNH in Eastport, Maine. Phyllis was born in Charlotte, ME on Oct. 3, 1930, to Fannie (Corbett) and Lester Brown.

Phyllis graduated from Pembroke High School in 1949 and married Charles (Lewis) Sprague on July 9, 1949. Together they raised four daughters and were married 48 years.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Charles, youngest daughter Debra Knight and siblings Ernest Brown, Elsie Norton, Irene Fenderson and Geraldine Thompson.

Surviving are her three daughters Sheila Libby and husband Chris of Sidney, Maine, Sharon Lozier and husband Stan of Dennysville, Maine, and Diane Kelly and husband Barry of Belgrade, Maine. Also surviving are son-in-law Tracy Knight of Benton, Maine; her companion, and soul mate for almost 15 years Elmer Doughty of Baileyville, Maine; sister Laverne Pelletier and husband Wayne of Winslow, Maine; brother David Brown and wife Carole of Pembroke, Maine; sister-in-law Donna Sprague of Portsmouth, NH; brother-in-law Doug Thompson of North Berwick, Maine; seven grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren and seventeen great-great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Graveside services will be at 1:00 pm August 19, 2023, at Dennysville Cemetery with a luncheon and sharing of memories immediately following at the Dennysville-Edmunds Congregational Church Parish Hall.
