Indian Township – Paul J. “PT” Tomah, 64, passed away Monday, April 4, 2022 at Calais Community Hospital. Paul was born in Calais on November 29, 1957, son of Alex Tomah and Marjorie (Gabriel) Lacoote.

After completing high school, PT worked various jobs until he was unable to work anymore due to declining health. He enjoyed playing bingo, going for car rides, and visiting with his family and friends.

In addition to his parents Alex and Marjorie, PT was predeceased by an aunt; many uncles; and his Goddaughter and niece, Rhonda. Surviving are his daughter Mary Sockabasin; grandchildren Michael Sockabasin and Mirage Sockabasin-White; his “son” James Sock and his family; siblings Ada “Susie” Tomah and Alec Tomah; niece and nephews, Alex Tomah Sr., Walter Tomah, Lillian Sockabasin and Henry Sockabasin; many great nieces and great nephews; dear friend Yolanda Neptune; and his Godchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Father Brad Morin 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 6, 2022 at St. Ann’s Church, Peter Dana Point. Burial will follow in the Indian Township Tribal Cemetery. Arrangements by Mays Funeral Home, Calais & Eastport.
