With deep sadness, we announce the passing of Patricia Ramsdell on May 10, 2025, at the age of 77. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and lifelong educator, Patty touched countless lives through her work as a school teacher and her unwavering dedication to her family and community. Born on August 24, 1947, Patty was known for her compassionate heart, sharp intellect, and quiet strength. Her passion for teaching and nurturing young minds left a lasting impact on generations of students. She was a woman of grace and resilience, always offering love and support to those around her. Patty was predeceased by her beloved husband, Walter "Rufus" Ramsdell Jr., and her son Walter "Wally" Ramsdell III. She also mourned the loss of her grandchildren Dylan McInnis, Dustin Ramsdell, and Gracie Andrews. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Jaime and Chip McInnis; her son and daughter-in-law, Troy and Debbie Ramsdell; and her son and daughter-in-law, Kevin and Sandy Ramsdell, and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her life and memory will continue to inspire and comfort her family, who loved her dearly. A memorial service will be held in her honor Saturday, May 31, 2025 at 1:00 pm at Bayside Cemetery in Eastport, Maine. Patty's life was a testament to kindness, perseverance, and love.
