Obituary

My precious son, Nicholas Scott Jones, made his unexpected departure from this world on October 15, 2025. Born in Bangor, Maine on August 21, 1989, Nicholas filled our lives with laughter, love, and an indomitable spirit. He was a big, loud, caring man, always the life of the party with his infectious humor and ever-present smile. Nicholas, or Nick as he was fondly called, was loved by everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. His heart was as big as his personality, always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Nick made his home in Lubec, Maine, where he was a dedicated and skilled carpenter in our family business. He poured his heart and soul into his work, just as he did with everything in his life. His passions extended beyond his work; he reveled in the simplicity and beauty of nature. He loved to hunt and fish, cherishing the years of hunting trips with family and friends. He was a thrill-seeker, relishing the exhilaration of riding wheelers and side x sides, and he found solace in the tranquility of our family camp, where he would often be found, relaxed and content, sharing a new tune. Nick was predeceased by his brother, Joseph Jones; sister-in-law, Lisa Jones; cousin, Andrew Jones; grandfather, Lewis Ray Jones Sr. ("Papa"); and his sweetheart, Breeann Fletcher. He leaves behind a loving family; his parents, Lori and Jeff Jones; his brother Corey Pesce; his sister, Jessica Jones, and brother-in-law and special friend, Jesse Grinnell; his grandmothers, Carol Haskins and Judy Jones; and his uncles and aunts, Joey and Paula, Sandy and Paul, Scott, and Dale. Nicholas was also a beloved uncle and cousin to many nieces, nephews, and cousins, both in-state and out-of-state, as well as out of country. He loved us all fiercely, always ready to protect and support us. He gave the best hugs, and his laughter was a symphony that will forever echo in our hearts. Goodbye my son, you were the best!! Love mom. Arrangements are being handled by Mays Funeral Home & Cremation Services. Let us remember Nick not with sorrow, but with the same joy and love he brought into our lives. Goodbye, my beautiful boy. You were, and always will be, the best. Love, your mother, Lori.
