Marlynn A. Beach

Marlynn Ann Beach, 56, went to be with her Lord & Savior on Tuesday, February 20, 2024, surrounded by family.  Marlynn was born in Angeles City, Philippines, on June 12, 1967, daughter of Larry and Edita (Griego) Wright.

 

Marlynn was raised in the Philippines and as a teenager the family moved to the United States.  The daughter of an Airman, she lived throughout the United States until the family settled in Maine.  Marlynn graduated from Lee Academy, Class of 1985, and from Washington County Community College with a degree in Business Administration.  She worked various jobs until starting her career with the papermill in Baileyville, working in the office for 21 years.  In 1989, she married her high school sweetheart, Robert Beach.  Marlynn returned to Washington County Community College and graduated with a degree in Medical Assistant and worked as an insurance processor and payable clerk for Health Access in Lincoln until her retirement.  For the last three years, Marlynn and Robert were faithful members of the Brookton Pentecostal Church.

 

Marlynn loved the outdoors and living in northern Washington County, Maine.  She enjoyed gardening, going for rides on their pontoon boat, mowing the lawn, cooking, decorating, and staying up to date with the latest fashion trends.  Family was most important to Marlynn.  Her most precious times were being a “Lola” to her two grandchildren, Gracelynn and Gordon.

 

Marlynn was predeceased by her mother, Edita Wright.  Surviving are her father, Larry Wright of Lambert Lake; husband and best friend, Robert Beach of Lambert Lake; her daughter Chastity Guzze and husband Johnny of Manchester, CT; her two grandchildren, Gracelynn and Gordon Guzze; sister Sheila Sandin and husband Darin of NC; brother Jeffrey Wright and wife Annette of NY; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Sherry and Michael Bourgoin of Lee, Sandra Beach of Lambert Lake, Merrill and Edith Beach of Lambert Lake, and David and Leola Beach of Lambert Lake; nieces and nephews who she loved dearly, Olivia, Zane, Callie, Jillian, Amy, Kyra, Rosalie, Becky, Robert, Corey, Miranda, and David; many great-nieces and great-nephews; many many lifelong friends; her feline companion of 21 years, Sissy; and her granddog Mia.

 

Visitation will be held 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, February 24, 2024, at Hillside Free Baptist Fellowship Church, 14 Hillside Lane, Topsfield.  A Celebration of Marlynn’s Life will be held in the church 1 p.m. Sunday, February 25.  Burial will follow in the Lambert Lake Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you perform a random act of kindness in Marlynn’s memory.  Arrangements by Mays Funeral Home, Calais & Eastport.
