Margo Gower, 85, went to be with her Lord & Savior on Saturday, March 30, 2024. Margo was born in Calais on August 2, 1938, daughter of James and Etta Gower.
Margo attended schools in Calais and went to work in the local sardine factories. She realized her calling was sharing her love of the Lord and helping others in need. Margo devoted her life to serving the Lord and enjoyed visiting the sick and shut-ins, praying for others, and sharing scripture. Margo was a gifted musician, playing the guitar, banjo, piano, and mandolin, all by ear.
In addition to her parents, Margo was predeceased by her brother, Jimmy Gower. Surviving are her cousin, Edgar Cook of Calais; special friends, Donna Meeker of Calais, Jeanette Dwelley of Princeton, Gerti Blackwell of Princeton, and Shirley Gibson of Calais; and numerous other friends.
In keeping with Margo’s wishes, there will be no services. In lieu of flowers, donations in Margo's memory may be made below. Arrangements by Mays Funeral Home, Calais & Eastport.
