Irene was an active member of the Calais Hospital Auxiliary, Second Baptist Church, Calais Lionness and Orion Chapter #45 O.E.S to name a few.
In addition to her husband, Irene was predeceased by her infant son, Philip Douglas and her canine companion, Daisy.

In lieu of flowers, Irene wished to have any donations made to the charity of one's choice, or better yet, to go out and have a fun filled night of playing Bingo.
