It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, Lori Stevens White, who passed away on May 26, 2026, at the age of 61.
Lori was born on March 23, 1965, and was originally from Indian Township. She later spent several years living in Bangor before eventually returning home to Indian Township following the loss of her husband, Bradley J. White.
Lori was predeceased by her parents, Freda Imelda Ranco of Indian Island and Eugene L. Stevens Sr of Indian Township; her siblings Howard Stevens Sr., Timothy Stevens, and Gail Nicholas; and infant daughter, Shannon Meader.
She leaves behind her loving children, Kirk Meader Jr and his companion Katie Leighton, and Stephanie Socobasin and her husband John Socobasin. Lori also leaves behind the lights of her life - her grandchildren Braylen, Dalton, Landon, Kobe, Madelyn, Maddox, and Silace - all of whom she loved deeply and cherished every moment with.
She is also survived by her siblings Mark Stevens Sr and companion Jacqueline Stevens, Nora Deschaine and husband Dana Deschaine, Janice Hegedty and companion Steve Gould, Debra Prewitt, & Eugene Stevens Jr, and her lifelong best friend Doreen Neptune of Indian Island; along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will miss her dearly.
Lori battled many hardships throughout her life, yet through it all she continued to carry on in the best way she knew how. Despite life's struggles, her love for her family never changed. She found happiness in the simple things - spending time with her children and grandchildren, being outdoors, fishing, listening to music, and relaxing with her favorite reality TV shows.
If you were looking for Lori, chances are you'd find her by the water with her beloved dog Moe nearby, a fishing rod in hand, dressed in her bright neon-colored clothes with a matching scrunchie in her hair. Being outdoors and near the water brought her peace and happiness, and those are the memories her family and friends will forever hold close to their hearts.
Her happiest moments were often spent with her grandchildren, especially Braylen, who was never too far from his grandmother's side. The bond they shared brought Lori endless joy and comfort.
Lori will be remembered for her love of family, her resilience through life's challenges, and the memories she leaves behind with those who loved her. Though our hearts are broken, we find peace in knowing she is reunited with the loved ones she missed so dearly.
She will be forever loved, deeply missed, and never forgotten. 🤍
