Lewis J. Homan

Lewis Joseph Homan, 76, of Indian Township and Sipayik, passed away Saturday, March 16, 2024, at Calais Community Hospital.  Lewis was born at Pleasant Point on June 29, 1947, son of John Homan Sr. and Maria Dana.  

Lewis was a veteran of the U.S. Army.  He loved spending time with his family that he loved so much, especially his grandson “Lil Ernie”.  Lewis was an avid Red Sox fan.  

In addition to his parents, Lewis was predeceased by his wife Shirley L. (Quinn) Homan; two sisters, Nora Day and Gayle Stanley; and two brothers, David Homan and John Homan Jr.  Surviving are his three stepchildren that he raised as his own, BillieJo Porter and her fiancé Ernest J. Lola II, William McPhail, and Lucas McPhail; grandchildren, Ernest Lola III and Brittany Lynn Polches; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
