Lee M. Cheney

Lee M. Cheney, 83 passed away January 22,2023 surrounded by her loving family at Calais Community Hospital. She was born July 24, 1939 in Mobile, Alabama to Carlton C. Cheney and Thyra Wormell Cheney.

She was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister to many. She loved playing Bingo, watching wrestling and her favorite John Wayne Movies.

She was predeceased by her father Carlton, mother Thyra and sister Nikki; also her husband Darrell and second husband Ray. She is survived by her 4 children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren as well as siblings. Her son Darrell Anthony, granddaughter Cali and grandson Brad. Her daughter Teresa Huntley, grandson Matthew his wife Sherri and great-granddaughters Elizabeth, Danielle and Emily; granddaughter Leann her husband Bryan and great-granddaughter Haddie; granddaughter Amanda her husband Jackson great-grandson Lucas and great granddaughters Evelyn and Charlotte; granddaughter Megan her fiancé’ Troy great-grandsons Gage, Parker and Jasper and great-granddaughter Gabby. Son Raymond Pike with wife Terry, grandsons Travis and Matt great-grandsons Gavin and Lucca. Daughter Sherry Murphy, granddaughter Samantha great-grandson Keenan and great-granddaughter Kylee.

Lee was the oldest of nine siblings with seven surviving; sister Pat Robertson, brothers Steve, Carl and Cliff Cheney, sisters Peggy Lanoue, Jeri Malloch and Maureen Kelley.    Also, a very special family member considered a daughter Shelba Young of South Carolina. There are many nieces,  nephews, cousins that where dear to her heart as well as any other family and friends.
