Eastport, ME, La Mirda, CA & Cleveland, OH - Laura Marie Frick, 67, passed away on June 6, 2022 at Calais Regional Hospital in Calais, Maine where she had been residing for the past several years. Laura was the daughter of the late Ralph Benjamin Frick and the late Florence Helen Frick (Meresicky) of Lyndhurst, Ohio. Born May 16, 1955 in Euclid, Ohio, Laura was a graduate of Brush High School, Kent State University, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Art Education, and Cambridge University in Boston, Massachusetts where she earned a Master's Degree in Art Education.

Laura taught art in the Cleveland and Akron area for 18 years and also served as a substitute teacher. She spent a number of years working in the private sector as well, in both California and Ohio. In her free time, Laura enjoyed cooking and baking, especially creating her favorite Slovak recipes, handed down from her grandmother, Mary Harhay Meresicky. She loved watercolor still life painting and she displayed an artistic flair in everything she did.

Laura is survived by her cherished son Benjamin Barlow Elissetche of Eastport, Maine, brother Kevin G. Frick (Jane), and sisters Susan Frick Cowles (Larry), and Christina Lynn Frick. Laura's sister Melissa Louise Spry preceded her in death. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Burial will take place at All Souls Cemetery in Chardon, OH. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Liver Foundation, www.liverfoundation.org , and to the National MS Society, www.nationalmssociety.org .
