Klaus Piontek, 70, passed away on July 1, 2025. Born on July 13, 1954, in Seelow, Germany, Klaus's spirit of ambition and passion for technology led him to a successful career in Silicon Valley and a tranquil retirement in Eastport, Maine. Peter was a beacon of innovation in the realm of semiconductors. His talents were recognized early on by Microchip Technology Inc., where he served as a Senior Electronic Engineer until his retirement in 2019. Klaus's contributions to the tech industry were monumental, but it was his love for family and friends that truly defined him. His laughter was infectious, his stories captivating, and his love for his family, unwavering. Klaus is survived by his loving wife Lynn Dorner, his daughters Daniela and Christina in Germany, his granddaughter Alexia, and step-daughter Bess Dorner in Connecticut. He was preceded in death by his parents, Kurt and Trauda, and his brother, Rene. In retirement, Peter found his peace in the serene beauty of Eastport, Maine. It was there, amid the crashing waves and rustic charm, that he truly found his home. Klaus embraced his surroundings with open arms, his love for Eastport only rivaled by his love for his family.
