Keith Prout

Alexander – Keith E. Prout, 60, passed away unexpectedly of a heart attack at his home on Friday, February 18, 2022. Keith was born in Calais on July 13, 1961, son of Kathleen (Frost) Prout and Roger Davis.

Keith was an avid outdoorsman enjoyed hunting and trapping and loved spending many hours in the woods. He also loved to fish and most often did both of these with his wife Brenda by his side. Keith and Brenda also enjoyed watching baseball as Keith was a big Red Sox fan. He was a loving husband, father and Papa, and loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Keith was predeceased by his mother Kathleen Prout; father Roger Davis; two sisters, Sharon Bonness and Lynn Roderick; and his brother-in-law Brian Flynn. He is survived by the love of his life, his wife Brenda Prout; two daughters, Katie Clark and husband Randy of Calais, and Ashley Prout and companion Nathan Moffett of Alexander; his grandchildren, Hayden Allen, Autumn Allen, Kendra Clark, Hannah Allen, Aubrey Allen and Jaxson Clark; two sisters, Candy Robichaud of Milltown, NB, and Betty Niles and husband Dana of Alexander; long-time friends Eddie and Robyn Caddett, and Matt Allen, father to four of his grandchildren; and many nephews, nieces and friends.

A Celebration of Keith’s Life will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, February 26, 2022 at Mays Funeral Home, 26 Church St., Calais, ME 04619. A private burial will take place in the Alexander Cemetery.
