Joyce A. Hooper, 87, passed peacefully on Thursday, November 9, 2023, at the Eastport Memorial Nursing Home with family by her side.  Joyce was born December 4, 1935, in Calais to parents Ralph and Blanche (Noble) Anderson.

She was educated in the Eastport schools.  She worked at various jobs throughout her life but being a mother to her children was her top priority.  She was a faithful member of Blakey Memorial United Methodist Church. 

Joyce was predeceased by her parents; a sister Alice Patterson; her loving husband of forty years, Ralph E. Hooper; and her children Margaret Newell, Peter, Paul, Ralph, and John; and a granddaughter Abby Hooper.  She is survived by her son Ben and wife Kathy of Eastport; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; 3 great great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The family wishes to thank the nurses and staff at Eastport Memorial Nursing Home for the love and care she was shown while residing there.
