Josephine “JoAnn” Camick, 85, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away surrounded by family on Sunday, October 29, 2023, at her home in Eddington.  Josephine was born in Eastport on March 11, 1938, daughter of Eugene and Phoebe (Hunt) Carter.

Josephine attended Shead Memorial High School in Eastport and on June 18, 1955, married Kenneth Camick.  She worked for the local sardine factories and Guilford Industries Woolen Mill.  Josephine and Ken eventually moved to Eddington.

In addition to her parents Eugene and Phoebe Carter, Josephine was predeceased by a son Kenneth W. Camick; and her twelve siblings.  Surviving are her beloved husband of 68 years, Kenneth Camick of Eddington; three children, Brenda Stephens and husband Billy of Acworth, GA, Lorraine Cuatt of Bradley, and William Camick of Acworth, GA; six grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and a sister-in-law Virginia “Ginny” Emery of Topsham.
