Baileyville – Jeannine P. Hagenaars, 93, passed away Friday, January 27, 2023. Jeannine was born in Montreal, Canada, on August 20, 1929, daughter of Cornelis and Margareta (Berthier) Hagenaars. 

Jeannine grew up in Belgium and moved to Long Island, NY, where she worked for Grumman airplane manufacturing plant in the wiring and soldering department. 

In addition to her parents, Jeannine was predeceased by her two brothers, Robert and Antoine.  Surviving are her niece, Antoinette Hagenaars Forsyth of Raleigh, NC and Pocomoonshine Lake, Princeton, Maine; a nephew Robert Hagenaars of Princeton.

Jeannine’s love of animals was a constant throughout her life especially her companion “Elsie” who was inseparable and brought her much happiness.  “Elsie” has been kindly and lovingly taken in by friends Dennis and Janet Mackley in Pennsylvania.

A graveside service will be held at the South Princeton Cemetery later this year. Arrangements by Mays Funeral Home, Calais & Eastport.
