James E. "Jimmy" Robinson, 67 passed away peacefully at home on April 9, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Born on May 23, 1957, in St. Stephen, New Brunswick, he was the cherished son of the late George and Kathleen (Mullins) Robinson.
Jimmy dedicated 31 years of service to the Maine Department of Transportation where his tenacity and commitment were evident in every task he completed. Whether it was plowing his way through a snowstorm on Route 9 or the various other jobs he did, he was a significant part of keeping our roads open.
Outside of his career, Jimmy found joy in his side jobs of mowing lawns, cutting brush, removing trees that needed to come down. He cared deeply about his community. Whatever the need, Jimmy was always available to lend a helping hand.
He was more than just a hardworking man, Jimmy truly loved his work and the people he served. His contributions to the community left a lasting impression and his legacy will live on in the roads he kept safe and the lives he touched. Jimmy's presence was a constant source of warmth and strength for his family and friends. Rest easy, Jimmy. Your dedication, love, and spirit will forever guide us. He will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who knew him.
Jimmy is survived by his beloved wife, Wendy Robinson; his two children, Heidi Mooney and husband Matthew of Waterville, and Andrea Walton and husband Brian of Calais; Wendy's daughter Belinda Armstrong and husband Shawn of Fort Fairfield; grandchildren, Thomas and Jacob Mooney, Bradley and Parker Walton, Shartana Kitson, and Vanessa Frost; four sisters, Debbie Lindsey and husband Donald of St. Stephen, NB, Betsy Mohan of St. Stephen, NB, Mary Lou Storr and husband Leslie of St. Stephen, NB, and Joan Young and husband Peter of Eastport; many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews; and his special aunt and uncle, Marie and Ricky Clowater of St. Stephen, NB.
