James L. Keezer

October 15, 1968 — December 8, 2021

Washburn & Sipayik – James L. Keezer, 53, passed away unexpectedly on December 8, 2021. Jimmy was born on October 15, 1968 to Bonnie Irish and Lawrence Keezer Jr. He lived with his parents in Massachusetts then moved to Eastport with his beloved mother where he attended school and graduated from Shead High School. After high school, he worked odd jobs to help support his mother and siblings who were his world.

Jimmy was predeceased by his mother and best friend, Bonnie Irish, his paternal grandmother, Clara Keezer and his “little sis”, Kelly Keezer.

He is survived by his father, Lawrence Keezer Jr. of Sipayik; his siblings, Thomas Henderson and wife Elizabeth of Waldoboro, Richard Mealey of Washburn, Tammy Minter of WV, Anna Keezer of Sipayik and Buddy Keezer, of Sipayik; step “mom”, Lori Lola of Sipayik; niece Madyson Keezer of Sipayik; his “favorite” nephew Odn Henderson of Waldoboro and many uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends.

Jimmy will be remembered for his heart of gold, though he never had much, he always gave if someone needed. His family was his everything. Unconditional love and acceptance could always be counted on by Jimmy. He enjoyed fishing with his brother, Tommy, where many laughs were shared, and memories made.

His shy grin will remain with us until we are together again.

A graveside service will be held in the spring where he will be put to rest with his mother, as it should be.

Donations in Jimmy’s memory may be made to Donate Life New England at donatelifenewengland.org. Arrangements by Mays Funeral Home, Calais & Eastport.
