Obituary

Jacob "Jake from State Farm" Ebbeson, a beloved son, father, brother, and friend, passed away on February 19, 2026. Born in Machias, Maine on May 31, 1995, Jake was a man of many talents and passions throughout his 30 years. Music was a constant companion in his life, often providing the soundtrack to his adventures, whether it was clamming in his younger years, working in masonry or at Downeast Glass, or serving with the Pembroke Fire Department. Jake was a true craftsman who had a distinct ability to leave his imprint on any project he undertook. Jake was a charismatic and vibrant soul, known for his spirited presence at social gatherings, always bringing laughter and warmth to those around him. His "little black book" was a testament to his outgoing nature, but his greatest joy came from being a father to his four children, Cease, Reid, Hunter, and Brantly. He was a beacon of strength and a source of inspiration for them, and his love for them was immeasurable. Jake leaves behind his loving mother, Tammy Kennard and her husband Rick of Bucksport; his father Danny Davis of Perry; his four children, Cease, Reid, Hunter, and Brantly; his grandmother Patricia Ebbeson of Pembroke; his sisters Emily Davis of Waterville, Laura Davis of Baileyville, and Adrianna Kennard of Bucksport; and his brothers Timothy Davis and companion Sagelynn Downes of Pembroke, Daniel Davis and companion Katherine Archer of Calais, and Allen Kennard of Bucksport. He is also survived by his special niece and nephew, Devenlyn and Jameson; special uncle, Richard Look and wife Connie of Pembroke; his special cousin Samantha Ebbeson of Pemborke; his special friends Joseph Goulette, Grayson Downes, Laura Dearborn, Nick Seelye, and Sara Farley; as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Jake was predeceased by his grandparents Edwin and Doris Davis, Butch Kierstead, John Ebbeson, and Lewis and Pat Collins; his great-grandfather "Old Zip"; and an uncle Dickie. A celebration of Jake's life will be announced at a later date. Arrangements by Mays Funeral Home & Cremation Services. Jake's family encourages all who knew and loved him to honor his memory by sharing stories, photos, and condolences at www.MaysFuneralHome.com. "And I don't want the world to see me, cause I don't think that they'd understand when everything's meant to be broken, I just want you to know who I am."
