Our son Jack was unexpectedly taken from us due to a car accident on the night of July 31st.
Jack absolutely loved the outdoors, fishing, hunting, playing baseball, basketball and in his younger years wrestling. He started playing baseball at the age of 4 and never stopped. He played for Calais little league, junior league, Woodland high school team and also Maine Sting AAU baseball league. Basketball was the same, he started with Calais Rec basketball, Indian Township jr high, Woodland high school summer ball and as a freshman, Woodland high school Varsity. Jack was proud and played his heart out for each and every single team and sport he played. He was one of the most humble, coachable, hardworking, respectful player there was.
Our son had a heart of gold and a smile that could light up a room. We’ve always said that we swore he came out of the womb smiling. He had the kindest soul. If anyone had the pleasure of knowing Jack, he definitely left his mark. He was always one for giving you a good laugh with his crazy ways. Jack loved with his whole heart and if you were his friend, you knew it. Family and friends were everything to him.
Jack was predeceased by his great grandparents, Joan and Sopiel Dana, Phyllis and Frank Saunders, Elmer Lank, Robert Bob Seelye, Malcom Downing and sister Nova Socobasin. Very special family friend Richard “Pun” Stevens.
