Helen, a truly remarkable woman of 82 years, gracefully departed this world on January 19, 2025, after a brief period on hospice care. Throughout her final days, she was tenderly surrounded by a family who adored her. Born in New Brunswick, Canada, on October 14, 1942, to Olive and Nathaniel Williams, Helen was a testament to the resilience of the human spirit and a beacon of unwavering faith.
Helen's story is one of love and courage. She left her birthplace to start a new life in Limestone, Maine, with her beloved husband, Frederick Berube, a journey that would lead her to settle in Baileyville. She was a woman of conviction, her faith remaining an ever-present compass guiding her journey, illuminating her path, even unto her last breath. Helen's enduring faith, her love for her family, and her strength are an enduring legacy that will forever inspire those who had the privilege of knowing her.
She is survived by her devoted children, Vincent Berube of Baileyville, William Berube and special friend Lisa of Baileyville, and Margaret Berube of Waltham, MA. She was a cherished grandmother to eleven grandchildren, among whom Joshua and Marcus Berube held a particularly special place in her heart. Her memory will also continue to be celebrated by her numerous great-grandchildren. Helen is predeceased by her parents, Olive and Nathaniel Williams, thirteen siblings, her husband, Frederick Berube, and a grandson, Ray Sockabasin.
