Baileyville

Gerard J. Perry, 62, passed away Friday, June 16, 2023 at his home in Baileyville, due to influenza.  Gerard was born in Heidelberg, Germany, on July 30, 1960, son of Melvin Perry Sr. and Mary (Seamans) Perry.

After graduating from Woodland High School, Class of 1978, Gerard worked at a local hardware store until moving to Virginia where he worked with his brother overhauling aircraft.  He returned home and worked commercial construction until starting his own business, Quality Construction.  Gerard was an avid reader, enjoyed listening to classic rock, and was gifted with the ability to play piano by ear. 

In addition to his parents, Gerard was predeceased by two sisters, Linda Perry Newell, and Jackie Perry; and a nephew Stephen Newell.  Surviving are his sister Betty Perry Libby of Leesburg, FL; two brothers, Melvin Perry Jr. of Baileyville, and his twin Gerald Perry and fiancé Annette Arsenault of Leesburg, FL; a niece Alicia Wilhelm of FL; two nephews, Jason Scott and wife Patricia of NJ, and Trevor Leighton and wife Neomi of Baileyville; and great-nieces and great-nephews.

A graveside service will be held 2 p.m. Friday, June 23, 2023, at the Woodland Cemetery, Ryan Rd., Baileyville.  Arrangements by Mays Funeral Home, Calais & Eastport.
