Princeton – George Donald Bailey Sr., 62, passed away unexpectedly at his home on September 25, 2021. Donald was born to Douglas and Audrey (Cochran) Bailey on May 28, 1959, in Princeton.
Donald was a talented carpenter by trade, he built and repaired many homes in his community and truly enjoyed his work. He began hunting and fishing with his family as a child, a pastime that continued throughout his life that he eventually shared with his son, George Jr. Donald loved his son immensely, they loved playing basketball, talking, or just doing nothing together.
In addition to his parents, Donald was predeceased by his brother, Aubrey Bailey.
He is survived by his son, George D. Bailey Jr. of Princeton; five siblings, Susan Bailey of Bangor, Rita Avery and her husband, William of NH, Amy Swenson of Medway, Richard Bailey and his wife, Mary of Princeton and his twin brother, Ronald Bailey and his wife, Connie of VA; the mother of his son, Molly Lola of Princeton and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
In keeping with Donald’s wishes, there will not be a funeral service. Arrangements by Mays Funeral Home, Calais & Eastport.
