Gail Marie Nicholas passed away Monday, December 22, 2025, on her 64th birthday. Gail was born on December 22, 1961, daughter of Eugene Stevens Sr. and Freda (Ranco) Stevens.
Gail attended Woodland High School in Baileyville; and was a nurturing mother, a doting grandmother, and a loving wife to Darryl Nicholas Sr., since their marriage on May 17, 1991. Her love for her family was infinite and she cherished every moment spent with them. Gail was an individual who sought joy in the simple pleasures of life. She enjoyed the rhythm and soul of classic rock music and often found comfort in the timeless narratives of television classics like Golden Girls, Gun Smoke, Bonanza, and the Andy Griffith Show. Her love for animals was profound, and her home was always a haven for many beloved pets. Yet, above all, her greatest joy was derived from her role as a mother and grandmother. Her dedication to her family was unwavering and her love, unconditional.
Gail's infectious laughter, kindness, and benevolence will be remembered by all who knew her. Her spirit continues to live on, not only in the hearts of her family, but also in the countless lives she touched. We celebrate her life, her love, and her legacy, knowing that she will forever remain in our hearts.
