Francis Paul Bassett

Medford, MA and Pleasant Point ME. “Just Passing Through” Francis "Frank" Paul Bassett, 89, passed away peacefully on February 15, 2022. Frank was born at Pleasant Point on November 18, 1932, son of the late Edward and Florence Bassett.
He is survived by the love of his life for over 60 years Helen (Purdon). He is 1 of 13 children. He has now joined his daughter Diane, sons Paul and Louis, who predeceased him. Loving father of Dale Mitchell and his wife Brenda of Pleasant Point, ME, Michael Bassett and his wife Michele of Billerica, MA, Christopher Bassett of Somerville, MA, and Gina Pedrini and her husband Rick of Medford, MA. Also survived by 8 grandchildren and many great grandchildren.
Francis was a Korean War Army Paratrooper veteran and a proud member of the Passamaquoddy Tribe.
Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation on Friday at the Keefe Funeral Home, 5 Chestnut St., ARLINGTON on Friday from 10-11:30 am. Followed by a funeral mass in Saint Agnes’ Church at 12 pm. Burial is private. Frank's funeral mass can be live streamed at https://cparl.org/ A memorial service and burial will be held in Maine in the summer.
Mr. Bassett’s wishes were donations in lieu of flowers may be made to Cystic Fibrosis www.cff.org.
