Florie (Bobbee) Marie (McCleney) Goss, 82, of Eastport, ME, passed away Monday, November 10, 2025, at her home. Florie was born on August 02, 1943, in Texas to the late Royal Andrew McCleney and Mildred Lousie (Payne) (McCleney) Houghton and was later further raised by Mildred and stepfather Doyle Houghton. Florie lived in Texas for most of her adulthood and later spent time in New Mexico, Florida, Vermont, Arizona, and North Carolina, with her final adventure taking her to Maine. Florie spent most of her life with us, surrounded by many wonderful friends and family. She maintained close relationships with all of them. Florie was gifted with a very generous nature and could always be counted on to be there when needed. She had a fierce devotion to her children and gave much towards their happiness. All who were blessed to know her adored her. Mom, you were an angel. There are simply no words to express how much you will be missed. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Lisa (Goss) Blackmon, on January 17th, 1991, and her husband, George B Goss, on May 23, 2017. Florie was also preceded in death by her brother, Glen (Bill) W. McCleney; her sister, Judy D. (McCleney) Sassie; and her younger brother, James (Jimmy) R. McCleney. Surviving are her two sons, George Kenneth Goss and Jeffrey Lane Goss, her daughter, Cynthia Minkler; multiple grandchildren, and many loving family members and friends.
