Dustin J. Ramsdell

Dustin James Ramsdell, 30, passed away Tuesday, March 12, 2024.  Dustin was born in Calais on December 1, 1993, son of Troy Ramsdell and Melissa Bartlett.

Dustin attended school in the Woodland and Calais school districts.  At a young age, Dustin could be found in the woods picking brush, working the blueberry fields in Alexander, working alongside his mother at Whitney Originals, and learning automotive mechanics from Frank Lawless.  Dustin loved being a mechanic and could turn a wrench on anything and was a natural gifted carpenter.  Most recently he was employed with Moses Cilley at C&C Trucking in Princeton.   Dustin was always willing to drop everything to help someone in need.  He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed fishing, camping, and four-wheeling.   Above all else, Dustin was proud to be a father and loved spending time with his children.

Dustin was predeceased by his paternal grandfather, Rufus Ramsdell; a niece Gracie Lee Andrews; and a cousin Dylan McInnis.  Surviving are his three children whom he loved dearly, Noah Bradford Ramsdell, Marshal Emery Ramsdell, and Ellory Idella Ramsdell; his mother, Melissa Bartlett and companion Ryan Brown of Calais; his father Troy Ramsdell and wife Debra of Machias; maternal grandfather, Richard Bartlett of Calais; maternal grandmother Karen Walker of Sedwick; paternal grandmother Patricia Ramsdell of Bradley; sister Danielle York of Machias; brothers, Troy “TJ” Cronk and wife Torie of Mariaville, Chad Ramsdell and wife Kelly of Mariaville, Seth Brown of Calais, and Frankie Lawless of Baring; many aunts, uncles, and cousins; and numerous friends including his best friends, Bob Harriman of Baileyville, Shantelle Buchanan of Alexander, and Dylan Hood of Princeton.

A Celebration of Dustin’s Life will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, March 17, 2024, at the Calais Motor Inn.  Arrangements by Mays Funeral Home, Calais & Eastport.
