Durward B. Scott Jr.

Baileyville – Durward B. Scott Jr., 69, went to be with his Lord & Savior on Sunday, January 23, 2022 at Calais Community Hospital with his wife Tonya and Pastor Keith by his side. Junior was born in Calais on February 18, 1952, son of Durward and Beatrice (Frye) Scott.
Junior grew up in Baileyville and worked as a salmon feeder at the local salmon plant in Eastport. He enlisted in the United State Air Force from which he eventually retired. Junior was a proud veteran and supported numerous veteran organizations.
Junior was a faithful member of Church of the Living Stone where he served as a Trustee and sound engineer. Since 2005 he volunteered at the Woodland Community Food Pantry. Junior had a passion for playing the guitar and loved to “jam” on Friday nights with friends.
In addition to his parents, Junior was predeceased by a son Kevin; and a brother Gerald. Surviving are his beloved wife and best friend Tonya (Smith) Scott; children Angela Guay and husband Brent of Brewer, Jason Scott and wife Patricia of NJ, Kellie Scott of Brewer, Jessica McPherson and husband Ross of Steep Falls, Tasha Sanford of Baileyville, Shawn Smith of FL, Jonah Saucier and wife Denise of Bangor, Jason Saucier and wife Miriam of PA, Hollie Lee of SC, and Cassie Way of Newport; 29 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; his Pastor and dear friend, Keith Moody and wife Tammy of Baileyville; his “extended family” at the Church of the Living Stone; many nieces and nephews; and numerous friends.
The family wishes to thank the nurses and staff at Calais Community Hospital for going above and beyond in their care of Junior.
A Celebration of Junior’s Life will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, February 5, 2022 at the Church of the Living Stone, Broadway St., Baileyville. Due to allergies, please omit flowers and perfumes. Arrangements by Mays Funeral Home, Calais & Eastport.
