Darlene Diane Lincoln, 77, passed away surrounded by family on Sunday, June 4, 2023, at Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor.  Darlene was born in Eastport on July 2, 1945, daughter of Fletcher and Melva (Hayward) Downes.

After graduating from Shead High School, Darlene worked summers as a waitress in Bar Harbor until she moved to Baileyville to raise her children.  She worked as a waitress, security guard and cook for the paper mill, drove school bus, and was a machine operator for the woolen mill in Eastport.  Darlene loved all animals and was known to have many pets ranging from horses, cats, and dogs, to rats, pigs, and goats.  In her spare time she enjoyed shopping and playing computer games.

In addition to her parents Fletcher and Melva Downes, Darlene was predeceased by her stepfather Dale Boyce; sister Cinda Robinson; brother Dennis Downes; and niece Melissa Mahar; and sister-in-law Abigail Downes.  Surviving are her four children, Benai Parks, Brandi Seelye, Buffi Bacon, and Brandon “Mac” Bacon and companion Christina Roussel, all of Baileyville; seven grandchildren, Annastasia Parks of South Korea, Chynna Parks of Portland, Kaleb Bacon and companion Mercedes McCoy of Baileyville, Brent Carlow and companion Nicole Elmore of Baileyville, Tianna Bacon and companion Josh Hanson of Calais, Alden Bacon and companion Shekara Leighton of Baileyville, and Cadence Roussel of Baileyville; four great-grandchildren, Vaida, Kaleb, Malcolm, and Ansleigh; brothers-in-law Jeff Robinson of Pembroke; niece and nephews, Fletcher, Jessie, Carleton, and Jeffrey; dear friends Mimi MacArthur and Diane Corbett; and numerous special friends.
