Dana Fenderson, 71, was born on January 18, 1955, in Lubec, Maine, and grew up in Marion, the cherished son of Harold and Julia Fenderson. From an early age, Dana learned the values of hard work, integrity, and commitment that would remain with him throughout his life.

A graduate of Shead High School, Dana proudly served his country in the United States Army. Following his military service, he built a varied career as a mechanic and truck driver before spending many dedicated years with the Maine Department of Transportation. Even after retirement, Dana continued doing what he loved, working alongside his son, Adam, in their garage.

Dana was known for his quiet strength, calm manner, stubborn resolve, and willingness to lend a helping hand to family, friends, and neighbors. He enjoyed collecting and fixing cars, hunting, gathering with friends in the garage to share stories over a cold beer, and taking leisurely rides around the "big city" of Edmunds in one of his prized cars. His close friend Glenn was often by his side, and the two enjoyed daily visits and evening rides around town.

Dana was a loving father to Jennifer Doyle, Nicole Armstrong, and Adam Fenderson, and a proud grandfather to Jacob, Logan, Madison, Brayden, and Caleb. He is also survived by his brothers, Alan and Malcom, and was predeceased by his parents and other siblings.

A graveside service honoring Dana's life will be held Saturday, August 15, 2026, at 2 p.m. at the Dennysville Cemetery. A reception will follow immediately at 63 River Road in Edmunds.
