Obituary

Cynthia F. Moulton - best known as "Cindy" -, 63, lovingly surrounded by her family, passed away on July 24, 2026, at her home in Pembroke after facing lung cancer with remarkable courage and grace until her very last breath. Born on August 29, 1962, in Portland, Maine, she was the cherished daughter of Phillip and Priscilla (Tanguay) Moulton.

Cindy was a proud graduate of Gorham High School, Class of 1980, and worked in a variety of positions throughout Southern Maine before making the move to Washington County in 1998. Without hesitation, Cindy quickly established herself as a cherished member of the community as she embraced every opportunity to lend a helping hand providing attentive and loving care to every child entrusted to her. While her career included positions at Morgan's Irving in Pembroke, Creative Apparel in Eastport, and most recently at Coastal Subs in Pembroke; her passion and dedication to others was clearly shown by the way she enthusiastically served the community.

A nature enthusiast, Cindy found joy in the great outdoors. She relished evenings spent watching television, often with a lottery ticket in hand, and was a dedicated fan of her beloved New England Patriots. Above all, her family was her heart and soul. The memories she created with her daughters and the time shared with her grandchildren, Kaylee and Kaden, were her greatest treasures.

Cindy is predeceased by her parents and three sisters, Linda, Terry, and Karen. She is survived by her beloved companion of 43 years, John McLaughlin; her two daughters, Jennifer and Kristen McLaughlin; her adoring grandchildren, Kaylee and Kaden; her siblings, Bonnie, Susan, Darrell, Butch, and Dennis; as well as numerous friends and her loyal canine companion, Buffy.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date, providing family and friends an opportunity to gather and honor Cindy's remarkable spirit and the love she shared throughout her life. Arrangements are being made by Mays Funeral Home & Cremation Services. The details of the services and ceremonies will be announced at a later date. In the meantime, those wishing to express their condolences, share memories, or post photos may do so at www.MaysFuneralHome.com.

Cindy's warmth and kindness will be profoundly missed, but her legacy of love will continue to inspire all who knew her.
