Obituary

Constance Beulah Crosby, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on June 3, 2026, at Calais Community Hospital, with her family by her side. She was 78 years old.

Connie was born on August 12, 1947, in Calais, Maine, the daughter of Fuller and Regina (McDowell) Morrison. Raised in Princeton, she graduated from Princeton High School in 1965, where she proudly cheered for her school as a cheerleader. In her early years, she was an active member of the Princeton Congregational Church, singing in the choir and participating in the fellowship group that fostered many cherished friendships.

After high school, Connie moved to Calais and worked at Ware Knitters for five years, a time during which she met her future husband, Wayne K. Crosby Sr. They married and shared a beautiful life together for 57 years, raising their two wonderful children, who were the light of her life.

Connie's passion for family life extended beyond the kitchen, where she excelled at cooking, to hobbies she loved, including bowling, playing cards, swimming, and enjoying bingo. She also found joy in playing games on her computer, often sharing moments of laughter and connection with her friends and family.

Connie was predeceased by her parents, her brother Blair Morrison, her sister Nancy (Morrison) Simpson, cousin William "Junior" Fischer, and nephew Adam Northcutt. She leaves behind a legacy of love through her devoted husband Wayne Crosby Sr.; her son Wayne Crosby Jr. and his wife Itaya; her daughter Michelle Crosby and her partner Donald; stepdaughter Lori Crosby and her partner Kevin; as well as numerous cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren who were the joy of her life. Connie is also survived by her sisters-in-law Carol Morrison and Rosemarie Hamilton and her husband Michael, along with nephews Brian Morrison and his wife April, Michael Simpson and his partner Andrea, Jason Simpson, and niece Tami Willett and her husband Jay.

The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the caring staff at Calais Community Hospital for the compassion and support provided to Connie and family during her final days.

A Celebration of Connie's Life will be held on Sunday, June 14, 2026, at 2 p.m. at Mays Funeral Home, located at 26 Church St., Calais. Family and friends are invited to come together to share memories and honor her legacy. In lieu of flowers, donations in Connie's memory can be made to a charity of one's choice. Condolences, memories, and photos may be shared at www.MaysFuneralHome.com.

Connie's spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those she touched, and she will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
