Claudette Louise Roussel, aged 81, gracefully departed this life on October 4, 2024, at her cherished home in Princeton. Born on September 10, 1943, in the beautiful province of Quebec, she was the beloved daughter of Dieudonne and Rosanna (Laliberte) Nadeau.
Claudette's journey took her from the warmth of her childhood in the provinces of Quebec and New Brunswick where she found and embraced a love that would last a lifetime. She married Enoil “Pete” Roussel, her partner and friend, with whom she shared countless unforgettable moments. For several years, Claudette worked as a waitress at the Big Stop in Baileyville, and as a clerk at the Princeton Mobil, where her welcoming spirit lit up the room for all who crossed her path.
A devoted member of St. James the Greater Church in Baileyville, Claudette was deeply anchored in her faith, which provided her strength throughout her life. She found joy in and cherished the adventures she experienced while traveling to visit family in Canada and Florida. However, what truly filled her heart was her family; they were her pride and joy, and she treasured every moment spent with them.
In addition to her parents, Claudette is now reunited with her dearly departed husband, Pete. She is survived by her three cherished children: Michael Roussel of West Palm Beach, FL; Robert Roussel and his wife Tina of Greenfield, WI; and Debbie Barber and her husband Ryan of Port Charlotte, FL. She was a proud grandmother to six wonderful grandchildren: Chrissy Cummo and her husband Billy of Port Charlotte, FL, Melissa Stainton and her husband Danny of Port Charlotte, FL, David McGovern of Port Charlotte, FL, Mariah Salzmann and her husband Adam of Wethersfield, CT, Darren McGovern and his wife Hannah of Newport, ME, and Logan Roussel of Salina, KS, along with numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews, all of whom adored her.
Claudette leaves a legacy of love, laughter, and faith, and her memory will forever be etched in the hearts of her family and friends.
