Cindy L. Lola, 68, passed away Monday, January 13, 2025, at home surrounded by the love of her family. Born on September 21, 1956, in Bangor, Maine, Cindy's life was a testament to love, service, and community. She married the love of her life, Allison Lola, and together they built a life rich in love and shared adventures. They later moved to Pleasant Point, where Cindy served her community with unwavering dedication. Her career at the Tribal Office spanned 28 years, where her role as Human Resource Director was not merely a job, but a calling to uplift and support her colleagues and community. Cindy's heart was inextricably woven into the fabric of the Passamaquoddy Tribe. She was passionate about preserving and promoting the tribe's rich culture and language. For over a decade, she served as a committee member for Indian Day, ensuring that the tribe's traditions and history were celebrated and honored. Cindy's faith was a cornerstone of her life. Her home was a sanctuary for those in need, embodying the essence of a foster mother and providing a haven for whoever needed it. Cindy's talents were as abundant as her heart, from cooking to knitting, sewing, beading, and picking sweet grass. Her time as the Avon Lady only added to the many hats she wore, further highlighting her versatility and zest for life. Cindy leaves behind a legacy of love and service. She is survived by her devoted husband of 50 years, Allison Lola, their children Birda, Sunshine, Joby, and Selina, grandchildren Jaiden, Marek, Nova, Arianna, and Aaliyah, great-grandchild Malaika, sisters and brothers, Holly, April, Gringer, Belinda, Kelly, Butch, Jake, Wilfred, and Lynn, many nieces, nephews, and Godchildren. She is also survived by her close friends, Barbra and Joe, Bernie and Gene Wayne, T.O.B ladies, and too many others to list, but know she loved you all.
