Charlene Mavis Cirone

South Addison – Charlene Mavis (Jordan) Cirone, 81, passed away Friday, April 22, 2022 at her home surrounded by her family. Charlene was born in Machias, Maine on April 6, 1941 to Alfred M. Jordan and Violet M. (Wood) Jordan.

She loved her family, owls, birds, deer, wildlife, flowers and crocheting. Her home was filled with owls of all shapes and sizes. She was an avid fan of the Red Sox, Celtics and Bruins.

Her nicknames were Shady, Shady Lady and Shardie.

Charlene had many dear friends; Maggie Johnson, Mary Wylie, Judy Marsano and Suzanne Rockett to mention a few.

Charlene worked hard all her life making wreaths, shucking clams and over 20 years packing fish at Stintson’s Canning Factory, plus many other jobs in between.

Charlene is survived by her children, Violet Grant and husband Alan of Columbia Falls, Craig Cirone Jr. and wife Lisa of Addison, Dean Cirone and wife Ellen of Addison, Belinda Cirone of Addison, Danny Cirone and wife Laurie of Addison, and Alfred Cirone and fiancé Jessica of Addison; 13 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Richard “Dicky” Jordan and wife Jane of New Britain, CT, and Donald Jordan and wife Carolyn of Ellsworth; three sisters, Vicky Look and husband Doug of Machiasport, Nora Jordan and companion Greg of East Machias, and sister Grace Look of Machias; stepbrother, Ronald Schencks and wife Elaine of Georgia; very special cousin Joan Libby and husband Breen of Machiasport; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents Alfred and Violet, Charlene was predeceased by her husband of 54 years, Craig Cirone Sr.; and her stepmother Helen (Schencks) Jordan.

All who knew Charlene and loved her are welcome to attend a service at the Union Church in South Addison on Saturday, May 7th, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in Charlene’s memory may be made to Eastern Harbor Cemetery, c/o Belinda Allen, 780 East Side Rd., Addison, ME 04606.
