Carolyn graduated from Pembroke High School and moved to Boston at the age of 20, where she began her career working for Sears and Roebuck. It was during this time that she met the love of her life, H. Richard Robertson. Together, they raised six children in Whitman, Massachusetts.
A devoted homemaker, Carolyn cherished her role as a mother and adored her babies—her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren—who brought her immense joy throughout her life. She poured her heart into cooking and nurturing her family, creating a warm and loving home.
Known for her infectious laughter and quick wit, Carolyn had a saying for everything and delighted in reciting old poems. Her positive spirit shone brightly, even in her last hours, as she always tried to remain upbeat and encourage those around her.
She is survived by five children: Richard Robertson and his wife Janet of Whitman, MA; Lynn Hansen and her husband Paul of Norwood, MA; Kenneth Robertson and his wife Lee of Cape Cod, MA; Carolyn Reed and her husband Dan of Pembroke, ME; and Deborah Rosen of Baileyville, ME. Additionally, she is survived by her siblings: Willard Suddy of Eastport, Maine; Clarence (Buck) Suddy and his wife Jane of Eastport; Karen (Slick) Seeley of Calais, Maine; Allen Suddy and his wife Maryann of Brewer, Maine; and Albert Suddy of Bangor, Maine. Carolyn also leaves behind an incredible legacy of 17 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
Carolyn was predeceased by her husband H. Richard Robertson, her daughter Janice Reed, son-in-law Scott Reed, sisters Inez Suddy, Joyce Damon, and Beverly Crosby, and sister-in-law Julia Suddy.
Her warmth, kindness, humor, and unwavering love will be deeply missed by everyone who knew and loved her.
