Carol A. Leeman, a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, graced this world with her presence on May 18, 1957, in Lubec, ME, born to Gordon and Nancy (Bulmer) Moores Sr. In her 68 years of life, she touched numerous hearts with her warmth, love, and the simple joys she found in everyday life, before her departure on February 23, 2026.
Known for her love of cooking, baking, and crocheting, Carol's creations were tangible expressions of her affection and care. She treasured moments spent with family, watching her favorite TV show, "I Love Lucy," and relishing the serenity of the outdoors. Carol's life was an embodiment of love and nurturing, evident in the way she cherished her role as a mother to her children, and a grandmother to her grandchildren.
Carol leaves behind a legacy of love and strength in her three children, Carolann McGouldrick of Calais, Jill Newman of Albany, Oregon, and Crystal Leeman of Calais. Her memory will continue to shine in her four grandchildren, Hayden Lewis, Brenden Hendricks, Joel McGouldrick, and Samantha McGouldrick, and five great-grandchildren, Cecilia, Colten, Jackson, Harrison, and Mitchel Jr. She is survived by her sister Betty Bulmer of Cutler; brother Gordon Moores Jr. of Calais; and a host of nieces and nephews. Carol was predeceased by her parents, her son Garold Bulmer, and her brother Wayne Moores.
