Carl Royden Bartlett Jr., 70, of Penticton, BC, born in Calais, ME, passed away peacefully on February 13, 2024, from a long, courageous battle with cancer.
He is remembered by his children Jessica Lahey (Shawn), of Presque Isle, ME; Christopher Bartlett, of Augusta, ME; ex-wife Debby McFarlane, of St. Stephen, NB; sister Peggy Fader (John) of Calais, ME; Gerry Bartlett (Sharon), of Calais, ME; Brenda Bartlett-Dupuis (Paul), of St. Stephen, NB; friend Glenda Ross; six grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his father, Carl Bartlett, his mother Helen Cookson (McLean), and stepfather, Ross Cookson.
Carl served in the United States Marines for two years, earned his rank of corporal, and received a National Defense Medal and sharpshooter awards. He was a 50-year member of the American Legion Post #3 in Calais.
He found joy in being out in nature and anything to do with photography. He loved spending time with his friends and listening to the oldies.
