Obituary for Bruce Edward Meader

Indian Township – Bruce Edward Meader, 47, passed away peacefully in his sleep on March 26, 2016 at his home. Bruce was born to Bernard and Nina (Rogers) Meader on June 28, 1968 in Salem, Massachusetts.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing and working outdoors but was most passionate about music, he loved singing and always left the crowd wanting more. Bruce served his country in the United States Army as a military police officer from 1991 until 1993.

Bruce was predeceased by his father, Bernard A. Meader Sr. Survivors include his mother, Nina M. Meader of Byfield, MA; son, Curtis Meader and his wife Heather (Hill) of Ipswich, MA; three daughters, Mariah Meader of Medford, MA, Kayla Meader of Key West, FL and Cheylyn Meader of Amesbury, MA; granddaughter, Charleigh Rose Meader of Ipswich, MA; two sisters, Laura J. Hartman of Byfield, MA and Linda J. Meader of Indian Township; four brothers, Kirk Meader of Indian Township, Stan Meader of Machiasport, Bernard A. Meader Jr. of Boothbay Harbor and Ryan C. Meader of Township 2R9; cousins, Beth Meader of Indian Township and Tom Meader of Skowhegan; many nieces and nephews and countless friends and fans, including Steve Cilley.

In lieu of flowers please make donations to the Wounded Warrior Project at www.woundedwarriorproject.org or at Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675. Visitation will begin at 4:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 29th at the Elderly Meal Site, Route 1, Indian Township until 10:00 a.m., Thursday, March 31st. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held, 11:00 a.m., Thursday, March 31st at St. Ann’s R.C. Church, Peter Dana Point. Arrangements by Mays Funeral Home, Calais & Eastport.
