Born in Fredericton, New Brunswick, on July 29, 1945, he was the son of Ralph and Audrey (Wood) Currier. Brian was a proud graduate of Calais High School, Class of 1963, and the University of Maine Orono in 1969, where he earned his bachelor's degree in Forestry and Woodland Management. He was a dedicated forester, committed to the preservation and sustainable management of woodland areas throughout his career. On September 28, 1968, Brian married the love of his life, Linda Malburg. After graduating from the University of Maine Orono, Brian worked for Prentiss and Carlisle in the Lincoln area until 1978. He then worked for the Hearst Corporation as a forester for the Pejepscot Paper Mill in Brunswick. In 1985, Brian was transferred to Machias to become woodlands manager for the Hearst Corporation, overseeing their land in Maine and New Brunswick. In 1998, he happily retired to his home in Robbinston. Brian was predeceased by his parents, Ralph and Audrey Currier; his wife, Linda Malburg Currier; and his three brothers, Richard, Greg, and Garth. He is survived by his three children, Jeffrey Currier and wife Krisy, Jill Caruso and husband Robert, and Matthew Currier and wife Kimberly; grandchildren, Aaron, Alex, Ian, Anderson, Logan, and Kylee; five great-grandchildren; sisters Pam DelMonaco and husband Nick, and Joanna Currier and companion John McVay; and three sisters-in-law, Lucille, Charlotte, and Cathy. The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the staff at Wellmore Point in Calais for their compassionate care over the last 5 years, with special thanks to Darcy for the love and care given to Brian. Per Brian's wishes, there will be no services. A private family internment for Brian and Linda will occur this summer at Brewer Cemetery Robbinston.
